Magic Tan Spray Booth Information and Instructions
The Magic Tan is fast and easy to use. If you are new or a
pro to spray tanning, don't fear. We will teach you everything
there is to know about our system. The Magic Tan is an
automated spray booth in a private room equipped with all the
essentials you will need for the process. The entire process, if
you are new, takes about 20 minutes. The time inside the
booth is only about 30 seconds, though. This is a full body
spray system. Please take note of the following information.

Pre-Spray Info
Inside the Booth
There are 4 positions while inside the spray booth. These will be covered in great
detail at the time of your session. Each cycle has a 10 second delay for you to move
into the next position.
Post-Spray Instructions
- We use a propriety clear solution. There is no added brown makeup. You will
not see results until 2 hours in.
- Do all exfoliating, shaving, and waxing at least 24 hours in advance.
- If possible, please come with no makeup, moisturizer, or deodorant.
- There is a barrier cream that will be used for your hands and feet. This is used
in order to prevent over-absorption on thick dry skin and on knuckles and
cuticles. Note: even with the barrier cream, you may have overly dark areas on
hands and feet. This is normal, especially for first-time sprayers.
- There is a nose-filter, and hair cap in the room, as well as foot-pads and towels.
Inside the Booth
There are 4 positions while inside the spray booth. These will be covered in great
detail at the time of your session. Each cycle has a 10 second delay for you to move
into the next position.
Post-Spray Instructions
- Within 1 hour of spray, use a damp cloth or towel and wipe your hands and
feet and your face and forehead. Do not get any other parts of your body wet.
- Leave the solution on at least 4 hours, and max overnight. The solution will
gradually darken and max out at about 8 hours. Once you take a shower, the
development process is nearly halted. For lighter skin types, 4 hours is
enough. For medium to darker skin types, longer is necessary. The attendant
on duty will help you determine the time to leave it on.
- Do not shave your legs the next morning as this will take off your tan.
- Try not to exfoliate or rub your skin excessively in the shower. Use a body
wash and your hands to wash in the bath. Do not use a cloth, loofas, or bar
soaps. Pat dry with a towel.
- Exposure to chlorinated pools or salt water will speed up the exfoliating process.
- Physically active individuals will experience faster exfoliating.
- Use daily moisturizers throughout the day and especially after showers, in order
to make the spray tan last longer.
- The spray tan will last 5-7 days.
- Ask an attendant about a Tan Extender in order to make the spray tan last
longer.
